The Crime Branch holds a vital role in the police department. This branch is deeply involved in major criminal investigations and highly sensitive crime detection cases. The staff of the Crime Branch are skilled and well-trained to handle all types of complex investigations. गुन्हे शाखा पोलीस विभागातील अत्यंत महत्त्वाची शाखा आहे. ही शाखा गंभीर गुन्ह्यांच्या तपासात आणि अत्यंत संवेदनशील प्रकरणांच्या शोधात सहभागी असते. गुन्हे शाखेतील कर्मचारी सर्व प्रकारच्या जटिल तपासणीसाठी प्रशिक्षित आणि कुशल आहेत.

With its jurisdiction covering the entire city, the Crime Branch often works in parallel with local police stations on critical cases. It is also responsible for maintaining records related to crimes and criminals. 1. Modus Operandi Bureau (MOB) १. मॉडस ऑपरेंडी ब्युरो (MOB)

This division collects data on the modus operandi (pattern or method) of crimes. It maintains detailed records such as the Known Criminal Register, History Sheets, Convicted Persons Register, and MCR. These records assist investigating officers in identifying probable offenders and in solving cases effectively. हा विभाग गुन्ह्यांच्या पद्धतीबाबत (Modus Operandi) डेटा गोळा करतो. यात ओळखलेले गुन्हेगार रजिस्टर, हिस्टरी शीट, शिक्षा भोगलेले आरोपी रजिस्टर आणि MCR अशा सविस्तर नोंदी ठेवल्या जातात. या नोंदींच्या मदतीने तपास अधिकारी संभाव्य गुन्हेगार ओळखून प्रकरणे प्रभावीपणे सोडवू शकतात.

The Finger Print Branch collects and maintains fingerprint data. Experts visit crime scenes to lift chance prints and analyze them against the existing database of known offenders, helping investigators identify suspects quickly and accurately. फिंगरप्रिंट शाखा फिंगरप्रिंटचा डेटा गोळा व जतन करते. तज्ञ गुन्हे स्थळी जाऊन शक्य असलेले ठसे उचलतात आणि विद्यमान डेटाबेसमधील गुन्हेगारांच्या ठशांशी तुलना करतात, ज्यामुळे संशयितांना जलद आणि अचूक ओळखण्यात मदत मिळते.
